In 2024, the State Council explicitly proposed to encourage the cultivation of high-quality hotel brands and promote the high-end and diversified service consumption. Various regions have also followed the policy of entering and leaving Taiwan, stimulating investment enthusiasm through financial subsidies, project loans, operational support, and other means.
In addition to policy support, mid to high end hotels are also capable of winning the favor of many investors in the market environment of pursuing "high returns+stable cash flow" due to their moderate investment costs, high average guest rates, stable operational efficiency, strong resistance to cycles, and market adaptability
In the brand strategy of both domestic and international leading hotel groups, mid to high end hotels have become a key focus for major players to concentrate their resources on building.
The "2025 China Hotel Group and Brand Development Report" recently released by the China Hotel Association shows that the top enterprises in China's chain hotel market have experienced significant growth. The high-end and mid-range chain hotel rooms increased by 142.41% and 128.47% respectively compared to 2019. In addition, the number of high-end brand operating rooms and stores in China's top 10 chain hotels in 2024 increased by 26.01% and 30.66% year-on-year, respectively, while mid-range brands increased by 15.93% and 15.46% year-on-year, respectively.
